Often our teams perform the majority of the QA work in Tallinn after an upstart phase onsite at the clients' premises. Travel between Estonia and most nordic countries is convenient and our consultants can visit our clients on a regular basis. In some cases we work together with our sister companies in Sweden and Norway to provide a combination of onsite and nearshore work. Typical types of QA work that can effectively be nearshored to Estonia include regression testing, test design, and requirements review.
A typical nearshore project starts with our consultants going to our clients' site to work there for a period of time in order to learn the systems, the people, the particular work methods, standards as well as the corporate culture of the client. The duration of this period depends on the complexity and the type of work as well as the test maturity of the client. The typical onsite phase lasts between a few weeks and half a year. Once the work has been transferred over to Estonia, our consultants communicate with their client counterparts via skype, msn, video or telephone conferencing complemented with actual face to face meetings.
We can also offer expert testers onsite at our clients premises outside of Estonia for shorter or extended periods of time. We can typically supply test leaders, test analysts as well as test executioners.
In Estonia we currently have QA personnel with experience from the banking, insurance, telecom and gaming industries as well as some other industries.
