Start, stop, repeat. Those days are over.

The core essence of RPA is to automate repetitive and time-consuming tasks (like data entry, manipulation, replication between systems etc) and allow workers to be redeployed to more interesting tasks that generate more added value. There is also an option to add machine learning and AI features to increase the efficiency of the automated processes.

Robotics software is suitable to use when logical reasoning and routine work is demanding for tasks such as verification of data in accordance with instructions, benchmarking, copying, moving and feeding.

According to McKinsey&Company "about 60 percent of occupations could have 30 percent or more of their activities automated. In other words, automation is likely to change the vast majority of occupations to some degree. This will necessitate significant job redefinition and a transformation of business processes.

Robotic process and test automation

We help to improve your business and testing operations by automating intensive and time-consuming routine work. Automation enables staff to focus on more challenging tasks like development and improvement of products and services.

Calculate ROI on your robotics process investment

For companies interested in automation, we offer deployment and utilization of robotics software so that the investment will be profitable and in line with business efficiency targets, fast and agile.

Talk to us at Knowit

We have extensive hands-on experience

Knowit consultants have extensive experience in the exploitation of automation in various environments and industries. Based on our experience robotic process automation introduction shall, in particular, take into account:
• How to automate the objects comprehensively but profitably?
• How could software robotics be introduced to help business experts?
• How to conduct a reliable and efficient support and maintenance service?

How is test automation different?

The tools used are more complex and in order to create large tests suites that can easily be maintained, there have to be strict rules and patterns. Record and replay solutions cannot be used and systems are in constant development and change. This also means that Knowit has a long experience in creating solutions technologically superior to the commercially available RPA tools.

Why do we focus on automation?

As the leading provider of Software Test Automation solutions in Estonia for many years, it was only natural that we picked up on Robotic Process Automation (RPA) in the wake of Industry 4.0. Using the knowledge and insight gained in Software Test Automation, Agile Process Consulting, and development of complex enterprise systems, we had the perfect platform to join our Norwegian, Swedish and Finnish sister companies in offering the complete RPA solution on the Estonian market.

A human robot

When we use the word robot in this context we mean a program that mimics the steps you take as you work in various systems. The robot works in the user interface exactly like a human. It runs in its own computer and performs the steps from there. This is something new, different from the traditional machine/machine communication via API or a data warehouse below the user interface.

You do not need programming or other specialist IT skills to be able to develop a robot of this kind. The robot is constructed from graphs in which symbols represent flows, decisions, actions and calculations. The symbols are like the ones used in MS Visio. The main thing a “robot developer” needs is the ability to analyze work processes and optimize processes as much as possible.

RPA is one of a number of technical trends affecting working conditions and human needs. Responsibilities will change along with professional roles.

This means your employees will be able to challenge themselves with more intellectually stimulating work. We believe that RPA will be a driver of increased productivity at work. Let your staff do what they are good at, and leave the repetitive stuff to a robot.
